As the government has announced no increases in the maximum numbers permitted at outdoor events, we are left with no option but to limit the number of entries to Liffey Descent 2020.  We have discussed all options for potentially increasing participant numbers with the HSE and will amend entry limits in line with any future announcements by the government (next announcement due in three weeks).  We understand that there may be some loyal supporters of the event who will be disappointed this year, but rest assured we will do all in our power to facilitate as many entries as possible in line with restrictions.  Our priority is the health and safety of all involved and while we are in unchartered waters, please understand that we are doing our best to ensure that the proud tradition of the Annual Liffey Descent is preserved.

Thanks,
